Accommodations

Schedule major campus events, exams or assignments on days that do not conflict with major religious Holy Days. If they do, consider allowing accommodations for students.

Ensure that our campus is providing dining hours that allow students to break their fast. It’s also appreciated when Halal meat and dates are available in the dining hall.

Encourage students to communicate with their professors early in the semester if an accommodation is needed for an exam, assignment, lab, etc. Students can use the Religious Accommodation Email Template to help initiate the request.
